8X8 Album from ‘scratch’

My last post was my entry in the current Crop Chocolate challenge, an 8”x8” album page.  I really enjoyed doing it an decided I wanted to do a whole album.  I also decided I didn’t want to just fill a store bought album so I remembered a recent post I saw on The Crop about a project making an album out of the paper packaging material we get in our orders from Crop Chocolate.  I measured out the paper to the size pages I wanted and sewed several layers together for each page.  I also just recently purchased a Zutter binding machine and was very happy to try it!
Cover
The cover is corrugated cardboard with Fancy Pants Lilac House, Echo Park Little Boy, Fancy Pants Happy Together ribbon, Tim Holtz Distress Stain-Walnut Stain, letters by K&Co, seashells from the beach in Malibu and burlap.

On this page I tried masking for the first time and found clear plastic letters (Heidi Swapp) that I coated with alcohol ink (stream).  MME So Sophie and Lime Twist cardstock, Distress Ink-Walnut Stain, Twinery-Maraschino Cherry twine, Basic Grey ribbon doilies, Tim Holtz mask and ticket die.

I love circles!  Lime Twist, Bazzil  Basics Two Scoops Moose Tracks and MME Good Day Sunshine, Unity Stamp, Distress Ink-Walnut Stain and Evergreen Bough, MME Tres Jolie journaling card and quote, Heidi Grace rhinestone, American Crafts mini jewel brads and Ranger embossing powder.
Page 5Details for this page can be seen on my previous post.  It was my entry for the Crop Chocolate weekly challenge this week.
Page 6On this page I used an embellishment I made using Amazing Mold Putty, Paper Clay and the key to my great grandmother’s cabinet.  I made a mold of the key, cast it in the clay and then inked it.  I also made the tissue tape using Miracle Tape and tissue paper.  MME Good Day Sunshine and Colorbok Flea Market cardstock, MME Stella and Rose trim, Fancy Pants Happy Together ribbon and button, Jillibean Soup twine, Sissix Heart dies, Tim Holtz Lock die and ticket journaling card, Stampabilities border stamp and Distress Ink-Walnut Stain.

I love that page with the circles, I really have to try that, but wow, I wouldn't want to have to pick a favorite page.
