Last night I wanted to unwind in my scrappy space but when I sat down to start I couldn’t. I got nervous and couldn’t help but think I might be in a slump. What else could I do but walk away and go to bed…
This morning after breakfast I went back to see what would happen…this is what I came up with.

I am happy that it was only a ‘24 hour’ bug!
Some time ago I bought several different kinds of canvases, one happened to be all wood. I am not sure where the idea came from but I decided I wanted to make a clock. I even used a power tool…

And an acrylic paint dauber and a doily stamp.

From Crop Chocolate I used: MME Stella and Rose Hazel, MM Paper Reverie Metallique, Bazzil cardstock, Distress Stain-Vintage Photo, Distress Ink-Brushed Corduroy and Broken China, Slice cordless cutter, Slice card Remember This, MM Paper Reverie gems, Stickles-Crystal and WRMK glitter brads.
From my stash I used: Glossy Crackle Accents, Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garland die, Xyron create-a-sticker, Mod Podge, Inkadinkado doily stamp, acrylic paint dauber, Ranger sander.

I am actually thrilled with how it turned out…now, will I keep it or give it as a gift?? Do you have trouble giving your creations away??

DeleteLove this . . . such a beautiful clock. Yep, I may also try this . . . need something in my scrappy space to help me keep track of time other than it getting dark from the sun going down. lol
ReplyDeleteKathy!! I hope you do try it and share what you come up with!!
DeleteWhat a beautiful clock. I have wanted to make a clock and been a little intimidated. You may have just given me inspiration to take the plunge. I really like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I hope you will make one and share your finished piece of art!!
DeleteReally great project! I love to see how other people use their stamps, I haven't done too much stamping but my sister gave me a TON of really nice ones. I guess it hadn't occurred to me that you could stamp on patterned paper but this looks fantastic! and to answer your question YES!!! I DO have trouble giving things I make away, which could be a problem because, really, there are only so many things you can make for your own house, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks Caryn! You are right...how many shelves does one person have?? ;)
DeleteLove this. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks LB!!
