Operation Write Home Blog Hop

The Crop Chocolate design team is hosting a blog hop  for Operation Write Home, a merry band of thousands of card makers  made up of Americans – and citizens of other nations too – who care about our military, and want to support them through creativity and encouragement.
All of the design team members will be challenging you to make cards to send to our troops.  There are some important guidelines that you need to follow, review by clicking here
Your first stop should have been Amber’s blog so if you happened by here first pop over there to start.  Here is the complete order:
Amber
Michele (by belle) you are here
Brenna (Xanthippe)
Julie (Scrap Happy)
Brittany (BritK)
Nina (NinaN)
Miwa (Chocolatier Miwa)
Kathy (Clayton528)
Jenni (Mom2Two)
Chris (Christina)

When you have all of your cards done and are ready to ship, here is the info.   All of our fabulous Canadian card makers can send their cards to:
Corinne Braun 6-300-108th St, Saskatoon, SK S7N 1P8.
If you are confused by all the directions or don’t have time to get your OWH stamp I would be HAPPY to collect cards with envelopes, prep them and send them all together after the blog hop is over.  If you have ANY questions please feel free to comment and I will get back to you ASAP.

OK!  Now here is my challenge to you:  This is OWH’s sketch #59.  Make as many different cards as you can using this sketch.  Please make sure you use at least 50% Crop Chocolate goodness.

Print

Post them on your blog or make a collage loaded to your facebook or Crop Chocolate profile and then link up to my blog with Mr. Linky below.  Whoever has the most different cards will win some great blog candy.  AND as a bonus, anyone who reaches 20 or more will receive a little homemade sweet surprise.
Here are a couple of examples of my cards using sketch #59.

Challenge 32-Easel Card

This weeks challenge over at Crop Chocolate:  ‘September makes me think back to school, and back to school for some reason makes me think of easels. So, in honor of back to school, I want to see your easel cards. Regular, twisted, double twisted, it's up to you. The challenge: Make any type of easel card, and use at least 2 patterned papers, a stamp(sentiments count), and any type of bling you wish.’
I haven’t ever done an easel card so of course I didn’t want to start out with the easiest one, no I would never make things easy on myself ;) … so I went middle of the road and chose to do a twisted easel card.

With halloween right around the corner what better time to get started on my cards…

Lots of fun details on this one and a little bit different tan what I would normally do in that it is more masculine in design and color.  I really like it and am on a roll with 12x12 pages.  I am not sure but I think I am going to frame this one and give it to my brother.
Hope you liked this one as much as I do!!  As always, keep getting inky!!

Challenge #31 - Back to School

"School days, school days dear old golden rule days; readin' and 'ritin' and 'rithmetic taught to the tune of the hickory stick; you were my queen in calico I was your bashful barefoot beau and you wrote on my slate ‘I love you so’ ; when we were a couple of kids". Viva Las VegaSatmps! is having their design team tryout for the term running from October 1, 2012 thru June 30, 2013.   I was so excited when I heard this announcement that I got right to work on my three projects to submit for consideration.
Without further adieu…
Project #1 is a 12x12 layout and I cannot decide if I want to frame it or put it in a book… I was lucky enough to be on set for a movie that will be out in theaters summer 2013.  There was some BEAUTIFUL scenery and this is from the first shot.

I really like the sentiment on the new Unity stamp I used on this card…I am wondering though, what occasion would you use it for?  I think it could be for a number of different ones but I would really like to hear your opinion.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get crafty often!!
