Mixed Media Madness at SWAT

 

March already!  I can't believe how time flies...
Drill #27 over at S.W.A.T. is all about mixed media.  This is right in my wheelhouse, woohoo!!
So without further adieu here is my little canvas...

I adhered Studio Calico wood alphas to my canvas and then swiped on a quick layer of gesso.  Distress paint blends perfectly to create the ombre effect on the canvas and on all of the AWESOME UmWow Studio chip I used...layered butterflies and butterfly confetti.  Before I glued on all the butterflies I used an UWS mask, checkerboard, with some modeling paste for just a bit of contract and texture.

 

I always have so much fun getting inky, or in this case covered in paint!!  I look forward to seeing what you link up for Drill #27!
