Merry Christmas!!

To all my followers, friends, fellow crafters and family...at this time of year we always reflect on what has past and look ahead to the future but in this very moment I would like to express my gratitude for your support, kind words and general awesomeness!

I also wanted to share the ornament I am making my co-workers, nieces teachers and some of my family this year.

You might have guessed I am OBSESSED with sisal trees and these were super fun to make!!

Some vintage tinsel and beautiful velvet ribbon and viola!!
I also did some of these bell jars too!

These have a great May Arts ribbon to top them off.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and may you find every happiness in 2015!  See you next year!!

Holiday Tradition

Over at SWAT we have a couple of challenges going on until the end of the month.
Are you making your Christmas cards???  One of my traditions is to make my own Christmas cards.  I have been doing it since I was in high school, and that was quite a while ago.
This year my friend and owner/creative mastermind at Um Wow Studio designed a special chipboard piece for me to use on my cards...

I am OBESSED with sisal trees and this one is SUPERB.  I also used one of my favorite Viva Las VegaStamps! Christmas sentiments, Santa Claus is coming to town, May Arts burlap string, Basic Grey paper, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Tim Holtz die, Faber Castell glitter and bead paste, Distress Paint and archival ink.

We at SWAT want to know if you took some time for yourself away from all of the hustle and bustle...if you did make sure you get linked up!!

Peace on Earth

Here is a quick post for the awesome December inspiration board at Viva Las VegaStamp!

I love every detail!!!

I created a card inspired by the colors, ornaments and BOW!

Tattered Angel Glimmer Mists, archival inks, high gloss embossing powder (also from VLVS!), stickles, Tim Holtz die, crackle glossy accents, watercolor paper and Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas.

If you get a free minute while preparing for the holiday, you have time to enter through the end of the month. :)

All Authentique paper, Bo Bunny doily, Viva Las VegaStamps! Santa Smoking, May Arts silk ribbon, Distress Markers, Um Wow Studio star confetti and flair from the Be Merry set.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

P.S.If you would like to see more about how I stamped the image head over to SWAT for our December Basic Training.

May Arts Ribbony Christmas Card Challenge

By now you know I am a big fan of May Arts ribbon and I am lucky to have been selected for the lasted challenge...

It was a bit different this time, we got one yard of each of the pictured colors of the 1/2 inch crinkle ribbon to create our card.
Xmas ribbon

I decided to create a gift set of cards all with ribbon Christmas trees.

My card bases are Authentique Believe and Bazzill Basics.  All the holiday sentiments are Viva Las VegaStamps!.

I also used archival ink, Um Wow Studio layered star with gold embossing powder, Tim Holtz mirrored star, cinnamon stick and vintage buttons.

The decorative folder holds the cards and envelopes, it closes with more of the 1/2" crinkle ribbon.

I absolutely love using May Arts ribbon on all of my projects but especially cards!!  I hope you enjoyed this project.  You can head over to the May Arts blog to vote and win some ribbon of your own.

Christmas Wishes

Drill 45 over at SWAT is a Christmas mood board...

Such wintery gorgeousness!!

I created a mixed media card using paper from my scrap bin, a special sisal tree chip piece from Um Wow Studio, gesso, gelatos, Viva Las VegaStamps and May Arts ribbon.

I also used Prima glass glitter, distress paint, archival ink, sequins and cheese cloth.

I am looking forward to seeing what you link up for this drill!!
