Multi Use Cards???! Oh Yeah!!

I got some fun Hello Darling from WeR in my March kit for Scrappy Chic and thought about birthday cards right off the bat so I made these colorful beauts.

I also used Heidi Swapp number embellishments and the happy die along with Distress Paint and a white pen.

When I was photographing these I thought they would also be good for an anniversary card too.

I think I am going to use all of the number and make more cards...  :)

I am also going to enter these cards in the Paper Issues painting by numbers linky party.

Fun in the Sun

The Um Wow Studio March sketch challenge...

I had a lot of fun with this one!!

I also used the Crate Paper collection Craft Market from my Scrappy Chic kit for March, VLVS! Waybill background stamp, Art Anthology dimensional crystal-mermaid, inkz, Distress ink and spray, gesso, washi and Tim Holtz alphas.

Are you gooing to join the challenge??  You have until the end of the month.

Drill #52 over at SWAT is up and it is a fun one...create a project that includes 5 random facts about you!
I went right to a journal spread, here it is.

I used a bunch of Viva Las VegaStamps! on this spread!  Butterfly Spotted, Writing Triangles, Writing Circles Background, Mesh Texture,  Coffee Ring Stain, Clock Face, Grunge Circles and Alice with Hands Behind Back.
I also used my Art Anthology Coloration Heart, Brusho, Aquarelle pencils, archival ink, clear gesso, Stabilo pencil, Tim Holtz alphas, fineliner with fluid acrylic and air brush medium and Heidi Swapp date stamp.

I had to add i bit of color, well besides my PINK!

Seed Box

I finally finished up my February kit for Scrappy Chic, I am so behind!!  But I will catch up with my March kit tomorrow...  :)
I created this fun seed box with Graphic 45's Home Sweet Home collection, the box is G45 also.

I have been daydreaming about SPRING a lot lately and this collection made me think of gardening and spring planting.  Here is what I came up with.

I used a piece of acetate from a stamp set I recently purchassed to fill in the window, Thickers, Prima flower and May Arts ribbon.

The box slides open and would be perfect for storing seed.

Don't those colors make you think about what you want to plant in your garden this year??

If you would like to see this box in person it is on the main counter at Scrappy Chic, once you do though you are going to make a 'b' line for the G45 section because you'll have to have this paper!!

Wish on a Star

My dearest friend lives in Los Angeles and while I lived there his family became mine.  So it only makes sense that his nephew, who is turning 22 this month, and who I have known since he was 4 is practically my nephew too.  I adore this kid, he is the sweetest, kindest, big hearted young man I know.
I love making a special card to send for his birthday and this year I had fun with Um Wow Studio and Viva Las VegaStamps! product to create this colorful and sparkly card.

Viva Las VegaStamps!:  Astronaut, Happy Moon and Make a Wish
Um Wow Studios:  Star Confetti and Star Confetti mask
Other items used:  Authentique, Bazzill and watercolor paper, mat gel, Distress Markers, water pen, glitter paste, inka gold, Distress Spray, archival ink

I popped up the astronaut to make him look like he was floating in space.

This Happy Moon is so versitile!!  I use it as a moon and even as a sun, oh I just love it!!

I hope he likes it too...

Adventure Awaits!

Drill 51, yes 51, can you believe it?!!  SWAT's drill 51 is a steampunk mood board!!!  It is so inspiring!

I created a card inpired by so many aspects of the mood board, I am sure you will pick them out instantly.

I used a bit of Authentique paper I have been hoarding to layer up my card base.  I stamped the Viva Las VegaStamps! nesting gears as a background and embossed in high gloss embossing powder then used Brusho to create the awesome color.  Then I stamped more VLVS! images, steampunk wings and steampunk heart on watercolor paper to be fussy cut.  The sentiment is also a VLVS! image, adventure awaits.
The gears are Um Wow Studio chipboard with WOW embossing powder, such great textue.  I used a scrap bit if wire to tie it together.

The heart is colored with Terracotta Brusho.

You have until the end of the month so show us how you were inspired by our Steampunk mood board.  Get busy!!  :)
