Every Friday until Christmas we are hopping, inspiring and giving away prizes. This hop is all about decorations and the line up is a good one!! Here it is:
Make sure you stop by each blog, leave some love and visit the Ribbon Resource blog to enter to win!!
My decoration is a Kissing Ball. This is one of my favorite decorations for the holidays!! This one is meant for inside decorating.
You will need:
a styrofoam ball
wood dowl
floral pins
greenery and berry picks
May Arts ribbon used (you can find all of these at The Ribbon Resource):
2 inch ivory sheer ribbon 2 yards
3/4 inch canvas ribbon, noel print 1/2 yard
String metallic ribbon, gold 1.5 yards
I used a wood dowl to create a hole threw the middle of the styrofoam ball.
I then used the dowl to push the 2 inch sheer ribbon through the ball (doubled and folded in half). I tied knots at both ends to keep the ribbon from coming out.
Next I covered the enitre ball with my greenery and berry picks.
I created a loop with the striped ribbon and attached with a floral pin then stretched and twisted the ribbon in between loops that I attached randomly all over the ball.
Then I cut pieces of the canvas to create single loops to attach all over the ball.
I folded pieces of the mini bow in half, twisted around the floral pin, created spirals on both pieces by wrapping around the handle of a small paint brush and attached all over the ball.
I used the metallic gold string to add a tassle on the bottom.
Thanks for hopping with us today!!
Until next time...wrap yourself in ribbon!!
